Specially able students need caring says U.P. Minister

Lucknow: State Minister (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and Empowerment of Disabled Narendra Kashyap inspected Dr. Shakuntala Mishra, National Rehabilitation University, Mohan Road, Lucknow. During this, he talked to the students of the university regarding their problems and held a meeting with the university officials including the Vice Chancellor and Registrar.

Minister Kashyap directed that as many disabled students as possible should get the benefit of the state government schemes. He directed to start new skill development courses in the university and said that through these courses, work should be done to make the disabled students skilled. He also directed to complete the process of filling the vacant posts in the university soon so that the students can get better education.

Minister Kashyap directed to take special care of cleanliness in the hostels and said that the disabled students should not face any kind of problem. He planted saplings for environmental protection in the university campus and directed to keep a record of it.

The minister emphasized on activating the social media of the university so that information about the work of the university is easily available. Apart from this, he also directed to organize a job fair so that Divyangjan students can get employment opportunities.

Minister Kashyap inspected the canteen and closely inspected the activities from cooking to serving food. He directed the officials to pay special attention to cleanliness in the canteen and the vegetables used in the food should be washed and cooked properly. After the inspection, the minister talked to the Divyangjan students about their problems and also inquired about their well-being. After the inspection, the minister also planted saplings in the university campus.

Minister Kashyap said that the Yogi government is committed to the interests of the Divyangjans. Divyangjans are being provided from primary education to higher education and they are being provided employment and self-employment opportunities by giving them skill-based training.

On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Sanjay Singh and Registrar Rohit Singh along with departmental officers were present.
